Darla Dean Kelly

Darla Dean Kelly, age 84, passed away on February 1, 2023 with her loving family around her.

She was born on March 26, 1938, in Atwater, to Clifford and Ethel (Urmson) Buck.

A graduate of Alliance High School, Darla served in the U.S. Army and had been stationed at the Pentagon. She then worked for AVI until her retirement in May of 2002. Darla was a member of Southside Church of God.

An avid reader, she loved flowers, and was very active in Euchre Championship Tournaments.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tina (Dave) Walker, Tammy (Bill) LeFever, Trudy Gafford; five grandchildren, Shannon (Chas) Pyle, Heather Scarbough, Kristen (Chris) Middleton, Elizabeth (Luc) Labonte, and Connor Gafford; two great-grandchildren, Landon Scarbough, and Olivia Baker; brother, Larry (Cricket) Buck; brother-in-law, Dale Zumkehr; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Johnn Gafford; her brother, Ken; sisters, Barbara and Sharon; and her second husband, Lester Kelly.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.

Calling hours will be held from 10-11 a.m. Monday.

Interment with Military Honors will be held at Highland Memorial Park.
