Darrell C. Grimes

Darrell C. Grimes, age 58, of Alliance, died at 3 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1953 in Alliance, OH, to Gaven T.J. Grimes and Mary E. (Conrad) Grimes Penny.
Darrell was a 4-H advisor for over 30 years and also was on the Beechwood Playground Committee for over 30 years. He was a livestock farmer and self-employed.
Darrell enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his mother, Mary E. Penny and 1 Brother, Kenneth R. Grimes both of Alliance; 4 step-brothers Robert (Diane) Penny of Alliance, Don (April) Penny of Paris, O., Chuck (Lori) Penny of Pa., and Craig Penny; and a step-sister Darcel (Duane) Pasco. He is preceded in death by his father and step-father.
Friends may call from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Beechwood United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Beechwood United Methodist Church, 3450 Beechwood Ave., Alliance with Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Interment will be at the West Beech Cemetery.
