Dauris E. Horner age 65 of Salem died Akron General Hospital at 10:10 a.m. November 11, 2003.
She was born in Alliance on March 20, 1938 to Paul and Gladys (Risden) Zeigler, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Horner graduated from Minerva High School, and worked as a secretary for the former Universal Co-Op for ten years.
She was a member of Union Avenue United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her mother, Gladys Zeigler of Alliance, two daughters Jill A. Nichols of Sebring and Lisa D. Hill of Alliance, one son Gregory A. Horner of Salem, one brother Douglas (Becky) Zeigler of Marlboro, one sister Sheryl Zeigler of Alliance, and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Horner was preceded in death by her father, her husband William L. Horner, whom she married November 24, 1966, and who died Nov. 18, 2002, and one granddaughter Carly Nichols.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, with Matt Lowe officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
