David K. Barker

David K. Barker, age 69, of Alliance, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born September 30, 1947 in Alliance, Ohio to Glenn and Martha (Gray) Barker.
A graduate of Alliance High School, David attended Akron University and he was the former owner of Trailstar Manufacturing.
David was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War aboard the U.S.S. Wasp. He enjoyed sailing and spending time on the water.
Survivors include his mother; wife, Mary Ann (Scheible) whom he married November 7, 1970; sons, John (Christy) Barker of Canton and Brian (Michele) Barker of Uniontown; daughter, Deanna Crissey of Stow; five grandchildren; brother, Bruce (Jill) Barker of Carrollton; sisters, Glenda (Bob) Modranski of Carrollton and Jill (Jeff) Grewe of Alliance; several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 663 Fernwood Blvd, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
Entombment will be held at Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Medical Center Home Health & Hospice, LLC 4369 Whipple Ave. Canton, Ohio 44718 or to Louis Stokes VA Canton Clinic, 733 Market Ave S, Canton, OH 44702.
