David W. DeBee

David W. DeBee, 85, of Alliance passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 27, 2021.

He was born on December 18, 1935 in Alliance to Harold and Audrey (Barricks) DeBee.

David graduated from Alliance High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. In his younger years, he was a lifeguard at Stanley Pool and then later retired after 30 years from the Alliance City Water Department.

David was a loving father to five children, a fun grandpa to 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.  He loved telling jokes to his children and grandchildren and attending their sporting events.  He loved the outdoors and could often be found working on his land with his favorite dog Tripper by his side.  He enjoyed feeding the birds and watching for deer.

Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, his wife, Mary Catherine (Hagge) DeBee whom he married on June 30, 1956; son, David (Gena) DeBee; daughters, Bridgett (Alan) Sacco, Christy (Steve) Lauer and Susan (Jeff) McDaniel.  He is also survived by his late son’s wife, Pam DeBee; sister, Darla Lawrentz; and brothers, Adrian DeBee and Jeff Knori.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brian DeBee; and son, Brian DeBee.

A private family service will be held.
