David Frank Denny

David Frank Denny, age 75, passed away unexpectedly at home  at 8:53 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

David was born August 30, 1946 to Frank Harold and Evelyn Ruth (Bardo) Denny.

A graduate of West Branch High School and Mount Union College, David received his Master’s Degree from the University of Akron.

He was a Teacher for over 50 years, and taught at Alliance City Schools, Lake Local Schools, and West Branch Local Schools.

David’s strong Christian Faith led him to start many prayer groups, both with church and fellow teachers.

A member of Damascus Friends Church, David also attended and played the organ at East Goshen Friends Church.

David enjoyed painting, gardening, and tending the flower beds. He had a love for music, playing the organ and accordian, and he especially cherished his annual Christmas musical; but his greatest love was his love for Christ, his family and friends.

He will be forever loved and missed by his family, including his wife Cheri (Brooks) Denny, whom he married July 9, 1971; daughter, Marcie (Mark) Curry; son, Philip (Laura) Denny; grandchildren, Anna and Luke Curry; Julia, Leah and Nathanael Denny; sister, Louise Lautzenheiser; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 26th at Damascus Friends Church, 28857 Walnut St., Damascus, Ohio 44619 with Pastor John Ryser officiating.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Damascus Friends Church.

David will be laid to rest at  Damascus Cemetery.
