David B. Hobson, age 51, of Alliance, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009 at his home.
He was born April 29, 1958 in Canton, to Arthur B. and Mary (Pyle) Hobson. He attended Marlington High School and was employed at Republic Steel from 1979 to 1990 and by the Hoover Company from 1995-2007.
David was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous in good standing for 18 years. He coached Hot Stove Baseball for ten years and girl's softball for five years.
He is survived by his mother, Mary (Tom) Browning of Tuscon, AZ; his father, Arthur B. (Patricia) Hobson of Maximo; four children, Angela Hobson of Maximo, Mae Hobson of Pittsburgh, PA, Thomas Hobson of Alliance, and Allison Hobson of Sebring; four grandchildren, Contessa, Kora, Veroniqua and Brad Jr.; four sisters, Rose Custar of Alliance, Ilene Walton and Janice Hobson both of Canton, Carol Delap of Salineville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Empowerment Center of Alliance, 715 S. Arch Ave. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
