David B. "Hydro" Hyronimus, age 63, of Alliance, died at 4:55 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Kindred Hosptial in Beaver Falls, PA.
He was born July 13, 1947 in Alliance to Harold J. and Mildred J. (Tranko) Hyronimus.
David was a 1965 graduate of Sebring McKinley High School and a 1967 graduate of Kent State University - Salem with an Associates Degree in electrical engineering. He was employed by General Motors in Lordstown until retiring after 30 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post 166. David enjoyed watching sporting events and playing cards espically pinochle.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Mary L. (Scott) Hyronimus; one son, Daniel B. Hyronimus, of Alliance; one daughter, Kristina (David) Wright, of Sebring; three grandchildren, Julie, Jacob and Emily; two sisters, Joan Toot of Kensington, O. and Cheryl Hyronimus of Kent, O.
David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Hyronimus.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Bryant officiating. Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Legion Post 166.
