David A. Lloyd age 67, of Alliance, died at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born October 7, 1942 in Alliance, to Arthur and Eleanor (Fox) Lloyd and was an Alliance resident all his life except when he was in the United States Navy.
A 1960 graduate of Alliance High School, he worked at Babcock & Wilcox Research in Alliance as a machinist, and retired after thirty years of service.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
David was a member of the VFW Post 1036, the Christopher Columbus Club, and was a lifetime member of the BPO Elks No. 467. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He cherished his granddaughter, Madison, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his son, David T. (Jennifer) Lloyd; his granddaughter, Madison Lloyd, all of Alliance; and a brother, John and (Carole Weitz) Lloyd, of Winterhaven, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant son, Darold Lloyd.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November, 12, 2009 at the Marlboro Cemetery Chapel with Fr. Michael Seifert of Regina Coeli Catholic Church officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
