David A. Rackley

David A. Rackley, age 59, of Alliance, passed away at 8:45 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017, at his home.
He was born June 1, 1957, in Alliance, Ohio, to John M. and Janice (Cobb) Rackley and lived most of his life in Alliance.
A graduate of Alliance High School in the class of 1975, David then attended Ohio State University and graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He held various jobs in the oil and automotive industries.
David played Little League Baseball in his younger years and football for Alliance High School. He was an avid sports fan and followed the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University.
In addition to his mother, Janice of Alliance, David is survived by his sister, Susan (Joe) Molnar of Alliance; brother, James Rackley and fiancé, Kerrie Thacker of Leesburg, Indiana; and nieces and nephews, Kay, Steve, Mike and James Molnar and Jacob and Jill Rackley.
David was preceded in death by his father, John; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday February 18, 2017, at St Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev Timothy Muse officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the service.
