David L. Ramser, age 81, passed away on August 23, 2023.
He was born on April 8, 1942, in Alliance, to Russell E. and Lillian Mae (Harris) Ramser.
He graduated from Alliance High School in 1960 and was on the 1958 State Championship Aviator football team.
David worked at Alliance Drop Forge, at Transue Williams as a tool and die maker, and then Ford Motor Company. After his retirement from Ford, he moved to Las Vegas and owned Buckeye Vending, Cardinal Vending and Shifty’s Bar and Grille. David returned to Louisville and was a crossing guard for Louisville City Schools, where he treated all the kids as his own. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, the Alliance Elks #467 and the Louisville Eagles and served in the Ohio Army National Guard for six years.
David loved life and having fun. He adored his family and friends and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. David was the most giving person anyone ever knew.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol; children, Greg (Meta) Ramser and Stacey (Vince) Clark; grandchildren, Jacob, Samuel, and Amanda Clark; and siblings, Russell “Bud” (Laverne) Ramser and Cindy (Steve) Foster.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim and Robert Ramser; and brother-in-law, Cletus “Bub” Nezbeth.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 29th at 5:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior.
