David P. Sano Jr., age 48 of Alliance, died at his home on February 22, 2008.
David was born February 22, 1960 in Alliance, Ohio to David P. Sano Sr. and Helene A. (Brown) Sano.
A graduate of Marlington High School, he attended Walsh University and graduated from Stark State College with a degree in business management.
Mr. Sano was employed by Value Services, where he served as District Manager and was the recent recipient of the Marine Award for Tax Performance.
David attended Union Avenue United Methodist Church. He was a member of the YMCA, where he enjoyed playing racquetball. He also liked being outdoors, and especially enjoyed watching his sons participate in sporting events.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather to Jayden.
Survivors include his parents, David and Helene of Alliance; his wife, Sandra J. (Aldridge) Sano, with whom he was together since 1997 and married May 23, 2004; one daughter, Brooke (Andrew) Myers of Alliance; two sons, Andrew D. Sano of the home, Patrick T. Sano of Alliance, two step-sons, Greg Arbogast of Columbus, and Aaron (Brittani) Arbogast of Hawaii; one grandson, Jayden A. Myers; one sister, Mary Beth DelCalzo of Alliance; his wife's grandmother, Nettie Knipp; nephew and niece John and Sara DelCalzo; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas M. Sano; maternal grandparents, Rev. Thomas J. and Helene E. Brown; paternal grandparents, Michael P. and Mary R. Sano, and his mother-in-law, Hazel Knipp Aldridge.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Union Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Hoyte Wilhelm officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
