David L. Wyss, age 59, of Alliance, formerly of Beloit, died at 9:55 a.m. August 11, 2008 at his home.
David was born May 12, 1949 in Salem, Ohio to Florian and Freda (Owen) Wyss.
A graduate of West Branch High School, David was employed by B&W and PTC Alliance.
David attended Bethel United Church of Christ and was a member of the Alliance Elks. He enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing, hunting, bowling, and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Judy (Reber) Wyss, whom he married May 11, 1991; a son, Zachary D. Wyss of the home; four daughters, Molly J. Wyss of the home, Jodi Harshaw and her children, Tristan, Dylan and Brodie of North Canton; Melissa Hissong of Canton; and Kim Bird and her three children of Canton; four sisters, Janice (Don) Lane of Beloit, Gloria Kurena of Sebring, Darlene (Jerry) McLaughlin of Alliance, and Bonnie Smith of Sebring.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Wyss.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor John Ryser of the Damascus Friends Church officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday.
