Debra Ann Ferguson

Debra Ann (McMahan) Ferguson, age 53, of Alliance, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center after a prolonged illness.
She was born February 9, 1963 in Alliance, Ohio, to Linda (Calvin) Paina where she lived most of her life.
Debra graduated from Alliance High School and Aultman School of Nursing as a RN in May of 1987 and later became a CCRN.
She worked at Aultman Hospital until 1990; University of Alabama Birmingham for a short time till 1991, Delray Community Hospital in Florida till 1995 then came back to Aultman Hospital and was a teacher and mentor of nursing there until 2012. She worked at several home care agencies and completed her professional career at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. Debra enjoyed saving lives.
She liked to bike, bowl, golf, boat, and fish and loved to travel and gamble.
Survivors include her parents, Linda (Ron) Paina; husband, Bret A. Ferguson, whom she shared 26 years with; three sisters, Pam Sims, Melinda (Brian) Kinser, Sherry (Ron) Harker; brother, Ed (Pam) Lipply; mothered to Cristina Ferguson and Bret Ferguson Jr; Granny Debbie to five grandchildren; and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten by all.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy M. Calvin; and mother-in-law, Nancy C. Ferguson.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m., prior to the service.
