Della Jean (Ross) West, age 77, of Atwater, Ohio, died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2010 at her home with her daughter by her side.
She was born April 10, 1933, in Flat Gap, Kentucky, to Glen and Bertha (Dixson) Ross.
Della retired from General Motors in Lordstown after 16 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, painting, gardening, playing cards and shopping. She was the best cook in the world.
Survivors include her three daughters, Connie (Steve) Schoch of Washington, Joannie (Curt) Suderman of Newton Falls, and Pennie Sears of Atwater; grandchildren, Stacey Herrington, Lynn Cornell, Joy Suderman, Nick Sears and Crystal Sears; and two great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Herrington and Chase Sears. Also surviving are four brothers and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stacy A. West Jr., whom she married January 25, 1955 and who died June 22, 2005; and identical infant twins, Patricia and Paula.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
