Delores Elizabeth Schwartz Danby, age 83, of Alliance, died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born May 28, 1929, in Alliance, Ohio, to Meryl Schwartz and Mary (Mudrick) Schwartz Schuster.
A 1946 graduate of McKinley High School in Canton, Mrs. Danby was of the Lutheran faith and one of the charter members of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her children; Thomas A. Danby of Sacramento, CA, Timothy L. (Michelle) Danby of Dallas, TX, Terry E. (Son OK) Danby of Woodbridge, VA.; daughter, Tracy A. Danby of Maplewood, MN; two grandchildren; sisters, Norma Martin of FL, and Carolyn Alvey, of Canton; brother, Byron Schuster of Canton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tyler in 2003; and her husband, William J. Danby, whom she married May 21, 1946, and who died in 2009.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2013, at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Megan Elliott officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
