Delpha M. Willard Fannin, age 85, of Alliance, died at 11:45 a.m. March 24, 2007 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born March 18, 1922 in Homeworth, Ohio to George and Mabel (Miller) Bandy and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Fannin worked as an assembler at Alliance Manufacturing before retiring in 1970.
She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ; the Alliance Senior Citizens Center, and their Bowling League. She also belonged to the Ladies Golfing Club. Delpha was an avid golfer, bowler, and had a great love for traveling.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley (David) Maffei of Minerva; grandchildren, Anthony Maffei, Michael Maffei, and Jason Maffei; great-granddaughter, Aeva Maffei; and five sisters, Mildred Conaway of Deerfield, Norma Jean Coleman of Damascus, Ruby Teagarden of Cleveland, Grace Jackson of Niles, and Judy Dahmer of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Charles E. Willard, whom she married Oct. 9, 1946, and who died Dec. 22, 1988, her second husband, Herbert Fannin, whom she married Oct. 5, 1992, and who died in Aug., 2004.; five brothers, Homer, Warren, George, Duane and Glenn; and five sisters, Marie, Hazel, Faye, Gloria Ann and Ruth Ann.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffrey Davis of Bethel United Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
