Dennis George Doyle, 58, of Alliance, died on May 15, 2009 at 8:03 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital following 22 years of a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Mr. Doyle was born on December 23, 1950 to George and Irene (Specht) Doyle. He has lived in Alliance for the past thirty years.
He graduated from Marlington High School in 1968. Mr. Doyle was formerly employed by Transue and Williams Forge Plant as a time keeper and drove truck for Douglas Battery Company.
Dennis formerly attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Maximo. He enjoyed collecting coins and was very involved with his pyrotechnician jobs with BJ Allen Fireworks. Mr. Doyle was a US Army veteran having served in the Vietnam Era in Germany.
Survived by his Parents of Alliance; wife, Nancy E. (Durell) Doyle of Alliance, whom he married on February 27, 1981; four daughters, Emily A. Tice of Canton, Deena M. Doyle of Canton, Kelly M. Duke of Alliance, and Sarah M. Doyle of Alliance; four grandchildren, Caitlynn, Joseph, Olivia, and Andrew; two sisters, Denise (Tom) Ertle of Massillon and Debra (Darryl) Babbo of Maximo; and four nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Maximo on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery of Maximo.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society 520 N. Main Street Akron, OH 44308.
