Dennis K. Maley

Dennis K. Maley, age 68, of Canton, Ohio, died February 21, 2022 in the care of the incredible staff at Canterbury Villa in Alliance, Ohio. He passed peacefully, with his wife of 46 years by his side, and surrounded by his family and friends. Dennis fought a long and courageous battle with complications from having several strokes over the years, as well as suffering from Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).

He was born on May 26, 1953 in Canton, Ohio to Kermit H. Maley and Ruth Grace (Walton) Maley.

Dennis was the owner and operator of DDM Construction for 25 years. Dennis served honorably in the United States Marine Corp from 1971-1973. He received the Vietnam Service Metal and Rifle Expert Badge. Dennis served in the reserves from 1973-1977. He was a member of the Alliance Christian Center. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, music and art. Dennis will be deeply missed by all of those he has left behind; but we rejoice in knowing he is with Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rebecca Helsel-Maley; his son, Michael (Stephanie) Barringer; daughters, Angie (Greg) Maley, Lisa (Jeremy) Maley-Gonzales, Ashley (Nate) Maley and Christi Jarvis; 16 grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren and foster children; two brothers, Dwayne Maley and Darwin (Teresa) Maley; and a sister, Dee (Mike) Maley-Eck.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 28th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Alliance Christian Center on Tuesday, March 1st at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Kirk Martin will officiate.
