Desma Simon, age 86 of Alliance, died at 3:12 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005 at her home.
Mrs. Simon was born May 20, 1919 in Atwater, Ohio to Clyde C. Bean and Eva Nellie Simon Bean Reale and graduated from Atwater High School. She was a lifelong area resident.
She attended Beechwood United Methodist Church. Mrs. Simon loved all kinds of animals, and was never known to turn away a stray. She also enjoyed playing cards with her card club.
Survivors include her children, Eva Jean (Lynn) Lentzs of Princeton, Virginia, Jack L. Simon of Louisville, Ohio and Sherri Reno of Alliance, Ohio; five granddaughters, Laura Lentzs Harkson, Kim Lentzs, Amanda Lentzs, Alexann Reno, and Mandy Chamberlain; great-grandchildren, Addison, Ashlyn, Joseph, April and Rachael; and one sister, Joesie Novis, of Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jack L. Simon Sr.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
