Diane Lynnea Breit, age 67 of Hartville, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Diane was born June 29, 1954 in Alliance, Ohio to Charles H. and Anita Nadine (Schneider) Jackson. A graduate of Alliance High School, Diane graduated from Clark Technical College in Springfield. Later in life, she returned to school and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This set an example of hard work and determination, that greatly influenced her children’s’ lives.
Diane lived her life caring for others. Her loving devotion to taking care of her family was never more apparent than when she cared for her husband during his courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease for 15 years, in addition to his struggle with ALS for almost 6 years. Her background in nursing allowed her to fulfill her promise to him that he would always remain in their home. This act of selflessness served as a hallmark example of Diane always putting the needs of others before her own. The strength and fortitude she displayed during those years continue to serve as an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. Diane and Steve were still able to make wonderful memories together that typically revolved around their beloved grandchildren. Diane truly felt that it was those times that allowed them both to endure even the most challenging days.
Diane’s kindness and compassion for others did not just apply to her family. Her life’s work was dedicated to caring for others in her career as a nurse. She was employed as a nurse at Alliance Community Hospital, working in various departments and roles prior to finishing her career at the Alliance City Health Department. Along each phase of her career, Diane always cherished the relationships she established with her colleagues.
