Diane M. Long

September 19, 1952 — September 29, 2024

Diane M. Long, age 72, passed away on September 29, 2024 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was a strong, fierce and faithful warrior who fought until the end. 

She was born on September 19, 1952, in Alliance, to Carl and Elizabeth (Popa) Carlile.

Diane served as the bookkeeper for Alliance Ventures for 5 years and was a member of Trinity Gospel Temple in Canton. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and shopping with her grandkids. Diane was a faithful servant of God and encouraged others with His words through her social media. She was selfless and the heart and rock of her family. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother; daughter, Traci (Todd) Besse; step-sisters, Sissy Long and Lisa Long; siblings, Tom (Jean) Carlile, Steve Carlile, Mary (James) Thorpe, and Lisa (Joel) McKee; grandchildren, Chance (Kayla Congrove) Kungle, Alek (Alexa) Kungle, Todd Nathan Besse, Chelsea (Bryan) Corbin, Mckenzie (Fred) Heberling, Delaney (Ryan) Daugherty, and Marina Scalise; great grandchildren, Kayson, Kross and Baker Kungle; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father; daughter, Sommer Marie Long; and husband, Frank Patrick Long.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, October 5th from 12:00-2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center, 2821 Woodlawn Ave NW, Canton, OH, 44708.
