Dianna (Sotcan) Peterson

Dianna (Sotcan) Peterson, age 71, of Alliance, passed away at 1:32 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 7, 1943, in Alliance, Ohio, to John and Mary (Ciocania) Sotcan.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Dianna was also a member of the Mount Union College Class of 65 and Tri Delta. Her memberships included Coterie, Flower Garden Club, Alliance Woman's Club, Alliance Country Club, Woodlake Country Club, and Highland Woods Country Club.
Dianna was a member of the St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald A. Peterson Jr. of Alliance, whom she married May 7, 1983; children, Jon Bezon of Adrian MI, Jodi (Bezon) Schmidt and her husband, Chuck of Macedonia, OH, and Jill (Bezon) Mason of Vass, NC, Donald A. Peterson, III and his wife, Christine (Domenick) of Canton, OH, Molly (Peterson) Peters and her husband, Tom of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, William and Jackson Schmidt of Macedonia, OH, Donald A. Peterson, IV and John William Peterson, of Canton, OH; Quentin, Logan and Wyatt Peters, all of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Nicholas (Sue Wallace) Sotcan of Alliance; sister-in-law, Jill (Peterson) McCarty and her husband, John McCarty, of Lexington, KY; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janice M. (Sotcan) Baith; and brother, John Thomas Sotcan.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephanie Lee officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with a Saracusta service beginning at 7 p.m. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
