Dola P. Westfall, age 102, of Homeworth, died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Canterbury Villa in Alliance.
She was born June 25, 1906 in Rone County, West Virginia to Lucy (Sutphin) Walker and lived in the Alliance area since 1958.
Mrs. Westfall was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Jimmie C. Westfall of Canton; daughter-in-law, Nancy Westfall of Bosser City, Louisiana; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Erma Miller of Massillon and Carlene Wissinger of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don L. Westfall, whom she married Dec. 26, 1924, and who died May 12, 1982; two sisters; five brothers; a son, A. B. Westfall, and one grandson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Potter officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
