Dolores Claire (Moretti) Edwards

"Together Again"

Dolores Claire Edwards, age 93, of Alliance, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Brookdale in Alliance.

She was born June 12, 1926 in Alliance, Ohio to Protasio Moretti and Lucia (Rinaldi) Moretti.

Mrs. Edwards was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She volunteered at Alliance Community Hospital, served as a poll worker on election days, and was a member of the Trentino Club.

In addition to being a great cook, Dolores enjoyed gardening, sewing and playing cards.

Survivors include four sons, David (Arlene) Edwards of North Canton, Thomas (Silvia) Edwards of Hartville, Ronald (Cherie) Edwards of Alliance, and Dennis (Peggy) Edwards of Edinburg; and seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Edwards, whom she married November 22, 1947, and who died August 28, 2008; and four siblings.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Very Rev. Canon Matthew Mankowski of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating.

Friends may call the hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
