Dolores E. Jadick, age 83, of Canton, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 10, 1927, in Alliance, Ohio, to Glenn W. and Dawn (Beans) Freshley-Murphy.
Dolores graduated from Alliance High School, Bowling Green University and attended Walsh College. She received her Library Science Degree from Kent State University and was librarian for Canton City Schools for 22 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League, Alliance Historical Society, IMPS, Alliance Senior Center, Elks Widows Club, and the Ohio Education Association and Retired Teachers.
Survivors include her sons, Christopher (Angelina) Jadick of Tampa, Florida and Joseph Jadick of Canton; two granddaughters, Giavanna and Michalina Jadick; sister, Irene Slabaugh of Sebring; five nephews; and her dear friend, Juanelle Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Frederick Jadick, whom she married March 10, 1951.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
