Don Forrest Hill age 65 Alliance, died at 1:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005 at his home.
He was born April 27, 1940 in Alliance, Ohio to Dewey and Mable
(Engle) Hill and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Hill attended Alliance High School and graduated through the service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and worked as a Freight Conductor for Conrail, retiring in 1990.
Don was a member of both the VFW and American Legion in Sebring, and the Eagles in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Olice (Derr) Hill, whom he married Sept. 29, 1965, four children, Ruthann Lewis of Massillon, James Layne of Marion, Jeanette Blank of Hudson and Terry Hill of Las Vegas; ten grandchildren; his mother, Mable Hill of Alliance, four brothers, Bruce Hill, Denny Hill, Mike Hill, and Walt Hill, all of Alliance; and four sisters, Sally Arbaugh of Alliance, Sue Russell of Alliance, Wendy Lombarti of Canton, and Robin McIntyre of Minerva.
He was preceded in death by his father, who died in 1965.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Dykshoorn of the Alliance Christian Center officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery
