Donald H. Aebi, age 87, of Alliance, beloved husband and father, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born May 16, 1927 in Alliance, Ohio to Homer G. and Madge (Wehner) Aebi.
A 1946 graduate of Alliance High School and later the Electronics Institute, Don retired from Aultman Hospital as Director of the Bio-Medical Electronics Department after 25 years of service.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee and choir member.
Don had a passion for farming, Farmall tractors, being outdoors, going to auctions, getting together with the 'Breakfast Bunch', his lifelong friends; and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Jean (Shank) Aebi, whom he married October 21, 1951; daughters, Susan and her husband, Thomas Feller, of Alliance, Michele "Shelly" Aebi of Minneapolis, MN, son Jeffery and his wife Judy Aebi of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Christian and his wife Nicole Feller, and their daughter, Elise N; Donald and his wife Amy Feller, and their children, Michael T., Annabelle M., and Bethany M.; brother, Milton and his wife Evelyn Aebi of GA, and sister, Yvonne Bechthold, of CA. He was loved by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Michael T. Feller.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Dr. David W. Bloor officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
