Donald F. Burnett age 72, of Alliance, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at home.
He was born November 5, 1936 in Alliance to Michael A. Burnett and Mildred (Fetty) Burnett Kramer.
He attended Alliance Public Schools.
Mr. Burnett was employed by Kuntzman Trucking as a truck driver.
He was a member of Conrad Masonic Lodge #271, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Canton 32 degree Mason, and Fraternal Order of Eagles #2174.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Burnett served in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include son Don A. (Jeanette) of Orange Park, Fla.; daughter Lora Burnett of North Royalton, Oh; brother Michael E. (Beverly) Burnett of Sebring, Oh.; sister Betty (Jim) Jones of Alliance, Oh.; two grandchildren, Allyson (Chris) Ray of Gainesville, Fla. and Don Joseph Burnett of Orange Park, Fla.; and also by his significant other, Vida Steen.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma I. (Graham) Burnett; who died May 4, 1998; sister Barbara Tullis; and one grandson Adam Burnett.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday June 15, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. A Masonic service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Interment with military honors will be at Highland Memorial Park.
