Donald Thomas Sampson Junior

Donald Thomas Sampson, Junior, of Deerfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2018 at the age of 78.
Don was born September 28, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio.
A graduate of Mount Union College, he was a bookkeeper for most of his life and farmed his family's centennial farm.
Don was a 32nd° Mason, a Shriner from the Valley of Canton, a dedicated Past Master of Charity Lodge No. 530 F&A.M., Past Patron of Palmy Chapter No. 114 Order of the Eastern Star, the immediate past Vice-President of the Deerfield Historical Society, the Treasurer of the Deerfield Cemetery Association and a Trustee of the Welsh Home.
Don was a devoted husband and constant companion to his wife, Sally, for 55 years, a faithful and protective compatriot to his brother, Rick, a family first role model and counselor to his sons, Donnie and Rhys, "grumpy old owl" to his eight grandchildren, and a great friend to his frog, Felipe.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Sally, of Deerfield; his brother, Richard (Mary Jane) of Sebring; his sons, Donald III (Adriann) of Deerfield and Rhys (Shannon) of Deerfield; eight grandchildren, Jordan of Tacoma, Washington, Donald IV of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Gwyneth, Brenna, Dylan, Kaley, Rhiannon and Pryce of Deerfield.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Thomas Sampson, Senior and Dorothy Jean (nee Myers) also of Deerfield.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Deerfield Town Hall, 1450 S.R. 14. A funeral and Order of the Eastern Star service will begin at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Insook Do with assistance from Rev. John Gelnett and Rev. Don Booth.
