Donald E. Morehead

Donald E. Morehead, age 90, of Alliance, died at 9:25 a.m. Friday, January 1, 2016, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born February 6, 1925, in Minerva, Ohio, to Fred and Helen (Nihart) Morehead.
A graduate of Minerva High School and Canton Accounting College, Donald worked as an accountant and a salesman.
He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his daughters, Marilyn Chapple of Akron, Karen Wagnitz of Alliance, and Vicki (Brian) Packey of Alliance; grandchildren, Lori (Scott) McClenny, David (Jen) Chapple, Jeff Wagnitz (Nicholas Niland), Josh (Teresa) Packey, Jen Packey and a great-grandson, Dylan McClenny. Special friends include Mike Greene; Kelly and Justin Anstine and children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife/mother of his children, Beth (Waltz) Morehead; brothers, Paul Morehead and Robert Logan; and two sons-in-law, Dave Chapple and Karl Wagnitz.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home in Alliance with Pastor Aaron Phillips officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Eastlawn Cemetery in Minerva.
