Donald "Tim" Murphy age 53, of Alliance, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born July 27, 1956 in Youngstown, Ohio to Donald and Janet (Eaton) Murphy.
A 1975 graduate of West Branch High School, he was formerly employed by Don Murphy Excavating and later retired as a welder for American Steel Foundry.
Tim attended Alliance First Friends Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his parents of Marlboro; son, Jason Murphy of Alliance; two daughters, Jennifer Murphy of Alliance and Jessica (Josh) Wood of Georgia; sister, Janet (Jeffrey) Soltis of Alliance; one niece, Andrea Soltis of Alliance; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Outreach Pastor Gil Goodwin of the Alliance First Friends Church officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alliance First Friends Church, 1307 W. State St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
