Donald H. Rhoads, age 93, of Limaville, died at 8:05 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at his home.
Don was born, January 3, 1915, in Limaville, to John and Viola (Miller) Rhoads and was a lifelong resident of Limaville.
He attended the former Limaville Schools and was owner of the former Rhoads Limaville Market and later sold and rented real estate.
Don was a Charter Member of the Limaville Lions Club and Past President. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby E. (Wymer) Rhoads, whom he married April 3, 1937; three daughters, Nancy (Jerry) Green of Payson AZ, Janet (Bob) Myers of Marlboro, Cindy (Bud) Cobbs of Streetsboro; eight grandchildren, Mike (Karen) Green, Shawna Green, Sharon (Norm) Green Butler, Barry Green, Mark (Mary) Myers, Laurie Myers, Kim (Chris) Cobbs Rininger, and Ted Cobbs; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jean Locher of Steubenville, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Connie Mangino, who died in 2007 and Karen Rhoads who died in 1952; two sisters, Eleanor Burden and Bernice Combs; four brothers, Shyrl, Glenn, John and Dale Rhoads.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Bruno officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Limaville Cemetery.
