Donald L. Riebold, age 75, of Alliance, passed away at 2:35 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at Salem Community Hospital.
He was born, August 25, 1934, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to Louis and Elvie (Dawson) Riebold.
Donald was a 1953 graduate of Alliance High School and a United States Air Force Veteran. He was employed by Babcock and Wilcox Tube of Alliance in maintenance until his retirement in 1992 and later employed at Thorne's at the College Plaza.
Donald was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church and a member of REACT for many years. He enjoyed square dancing at the Minerva Burliques for more than 20 years, and also enjoyed camping and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. (Eiler) Riebold of Alliance, whom he married December 12, 1970; a brother, Gerald (Leah) Riebold of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Hoyte Wilhelm officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
