Donald J. Warren, age 82, of Alliance, died at 2:20 a.m. July 14, 2007 at Altercare of Alliance after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 7, 1925 in Alliance, Ohio to Thomas Lester and Marie (Stromp) Warren and was a lifelong resident.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Mr. Warren was employed as a Superintendent at Tolerton's Lumber and worked as a Tool Conditioner and Crib Operator at B&W, and was an avid bowler.
He is survived by one brother, Robert (Helen) Warren of Alliance; one sister, Arwilda (Richard) Martin of Dunedin, Fla.; daughters, Kathryn Greiner and Lavina (Ronald) Hoops, of Alliance, Myla Newton of Tarpon Springs, Fla, Doreen Garret, of Holiday, Fla., and Lori Beth Baugh of Buckeye, Az.; son, Harry Haney of Clearwater, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gladys V. (Young) Warren, whom he married Oct. 16, 1980, and who died in Sept. 1991; one sister, Gertrude "Gertie" Wilson, and one brother, William "Bill" Warren.
Private family services will be with interment at Alliance City Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle- Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio.
