Don was born in Youngstown, Ohio on May 24, 1935 to Roland Hawley and Esther Weller Fuller. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown.
On March 15, 1958 Don married the love of his life, Betty Jane Wright. Don retired from United Linen Service Company in 1992. He was a Christian, a member of the Teamsters Union No. 377, a former member of Alliance Ohio Lion’s Club, Salem Gun Club and Alliance Senior Center.

He had many friendships over the years, but none as great as the friendships he made with his camping family at Whispering Pines Campground in Atwater, Ohio. Don loved playing his guitar and singing with friends, playing cornhole, and sharing fellowship. For that, his family will be forever grateful.
Don was an accomplished wood worker. He loved to cook, fish, and target shoot where he shot the National Record Score of 49-3X in the Match 141 - 50 Yards Light Bench Rifle in June 2005.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his loving wife Betty, and his sister Dorothy.
