Donna J Ancona

Donna J. Ancona, age 73, of Alliance passed away at Mercy Medical Center on February 19, 2021.

She was born on September 1, 1947 in Canton to Donald E. Snyder and Ann T. (Waskvich) Snyder.

Donna graduated from Alliance High School and later enrolled in Aultman Nursing School. She was the first of the group to be selected for the in house dialysis unit. Donna was an LPN for over 24 years. She started at Aultman Hospital and then spent the majority of her career at Alliance Community Hospital.  Donna was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping on QVC and loved music, traveling and animals. Donna also loved spending time with her family and was an excellent cook.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Ancona; her sister, Peggy Karnofel; and brother, Robert (Margaret) Burns. Donna wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to her cousins Debbie Burns, Tracy Miner and Alex Miner as well as her close friends Carol Kazelman and Tracee Collazos.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday February 26th at 10:00 a.m. with Very Rev. Cannon Matthew Mankowski, D. Min officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior.
