Donna Jean (Worley) Long

Donna Jean (Worley) Long, age 94, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at home.
She was born September 22, 1923 in Alliance to James Jarvis and Hazel Irene (McGirr) Worley and was a lifelong area resident.
Donna was a graduate of Alliance High School. Prior to becoming a homemaker, Donna worked at Transue & Williams in accounting.
She was a member of Alliance Friends Church where she was very active with the Bible study.
Donna is survived by her one son, Richard "Scott" (Michael Jane) Long of Hubbard Township; two daughters, Nancy A. (Rick) Lesh of Sebastian, FL, and Sarah E. (Fred) Welsh of East Rochester; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard James "Dick" Long, whom she married August 15, 1948 and who passed away August 13, 2006; and her brother, James Robert Worley, Sr.
Services will be held at 3:30 pm on Sunday, October 8th, 2017 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be held at Alliance City Cemetery on Monday, October 9th, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alliance Friends Church at 1307 W State St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
