Doris A. Arbogast, age 69, of Alliance passed away at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born January 7, 1940 in Mansfield, Ohio to Clayton and Marjorie E. (Lewis) Powers.
Mrs. Arbogast was a graduate of Alliance High School and was formerly employed by Parkway Lanes. She also worked with her husband as the secretary for Carl Arbogast Realty.
She was a Methodist by faith and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Doris also enjoyed bowling and country music.
Survivors include her mother, Marjorie E. Powers of Alliance; husband, Carl Arbogast, whom she married August 1, 1958; son, Timothy A. (Nancy) Arbogast of Streetsboro; daughter Christina A. Arbogast of Alliance; three grandchildren, Jacob A. Arbogast, Gina M. Arbogast, and Kayla Furry; two sisters, Lucille Admonius of Alliance and Shirley (Glen) Josett of Northfield Center, Ohio; brother, Richard Powers of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father; her daughter, Carla Ann; and one sister, Geraldine Powers.
Mrs. Arbogast's family would like to thank the Intensive Care Unit of Alliance Community Hospital for their care and compassion.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Rev. John Ferris of Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Community Hospital, Intensive Care Unit, 200 E. State St. Alliance, Ohio.
