Doris Simpson

Doris Eileen Simpson age 81 of Ocala, Florida, and formerly of
Alliance, died June 16, 2004 in Ocala, Florida.
She was born December 2, 1922 in Alliance, Ohio to Vern J. and
Bernice (Cunin) Hively. Mrs. Simpson lived in Alliance until 1982,
when she moved to Naples, Florida, and then to Ocala in 1992.
She graduated from Alliance High School, and had been employed
by the former Mount Union Bank.
Mrs. Simpson was a member of Countryside Presbyterian Church in
Ocala, and was a member for more than 70 years of Bethany United
Presbyterian Church in Alliance.
Survivors include her husband Hugh P. Simpson, whom she
married Oct. 12, 1945; one son Kenneth (Sue) Simpson of Ocala,
Florida; one daughter Martha (Paul) Gerber of Massillon; two
granddaughters, Diane (Jim) Mitchell of Centreville, VA and
Karelynne (Michael) Ayayo of West Palm Beach, FL; one grandson
Stephen Simpson; one great grandson James Paul Mitchell; and one
sister Wanda (Virgil) Stoudt of Alliance.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004 at
Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with pastors Michael Ayayo
and David Henne officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to
the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
