Doris Weaver

Doris Weaver, age 94, of Louisville, passed away at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at St. Joseph Care Center.
She was born October 28, 1922, in Lexington, Ohio, to Clyde and Mabel (Hartenstein) Ritchie.
A 1940 graduate of Alliance High School and a 1944 graduate of the Alliance City Hospital School of Nursing and attended Mount Union College, Doris worked as a RN in the OB/GYN department at Alliance Community Hospital and later at Catawba Memorial Hospital and Davis Community Hospital, both in North Carolina.
She was a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church, Alliance Retired Nurses Association and a charter member of the Lexington Grange.
Doris is survived by her children, Marsha (Richard) Glass, Richard (Barbara) Nelson, both of Louisville and Thomas (Wanda) Nelson of Uniontown; three step-daughters; one stepson; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Floyd Nelson; second husband, Robert Weaver; son, Timothy Nelson and sister, Ethel Ritchie.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lexington United Methodist Church, 15035 Greenbower St. NE, Alliance, OH 44601.
