Dorothy Ann Deioma, age 72, of Alliance, died in the early morning hours, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at her home.
She was born August 25, 1936, in Detroit, MI to Joseph Lester and Annie Mary (McGrorty) Dietz.
Dorothy was a member of the Regina Coeli Catholic Church where she served with the Alter and Rosary Society, Cosmopolitan Club, Women's Club, and a docent at the Haines House. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and loved to travel.
Survivors include her eight children, Casey McCaughn of Sun Valley, CA, Kayte Deioma of Long Beach, CA, Richard C. Deioma, Jr. of Akron, Robert Deioma of Garden Grove, CA, Mary Deioma of Santa Ana, CA, Nardo Deioma of Alliance, Ellie Deioma and her children Derick, Becca and Sarah of Brunswick, OH, and Carol Deioma and son, Declan of Alliance; and two brothers, Richard Dietz of Rochester MI, and William Dietz of Grosse Pointe Park, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 31 years, Richard Deioma, who died April 13, 1990 and one brother, Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Seifert officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Dover.
