Dorothy M. (Steed) Gindlesperger, age 72, of Alliance, passed away at 4:53 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Alliance Community Care Center.
She was born July 27, 1941, in Alliance, Ohio to William Steed and Mabel (Wright) Lazear.
Dorothy was a graduate of Alliance High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling, reading, music, bingo and camping; and was a member of the Alliance Senior Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Tammy J. Newill, and Lisa L. (Shawn) Tarbet of Alliance; sons, Scott R. (Susie) Gindlesperger of Alliance; and Rick Gindlesperger of Sebring; sisters, Carol Voytko of FL. and Linda Dickson of Alliance; and brother Charles Lazear of Sebring; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Gindlesperger whom she married June 27, 1959 and died November 20, 2000; son, Randy; grandson, Reilly and sister, Shirley Heaton.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Marlboro Christian Church with Pastor Ed Carter officiating.
