Dorothy B. "Martin" Herban

Dorothy B. "Martin" Herban, age 85, of Alliance, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born September 27, 1931, in Lansing, Michigan, to Otto and Bernice (Jacobs) Herban.
She was a graduate of Flint High School, in Flint, Michigan. Dorothy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; where she enjoyed playing the organ and teaching the children's Sunday School classes.
Dorothy was a homemaker, enjoyed stamp and rock collecting, Star Trek Fan Clubs, and especially spending time with her family and grandchilren.
Survivors include two sons, Vernon R. (Valerie) Martin of Barberton, and William L. Martin of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchilren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cameo S. Martin and a brother, James Herban.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2260 Hedgewood Ave. in Alliance with Bishop Brian Saxey officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Sebring Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alliance Hospice 2461 W State St. Suite E Alliance, Ohio 44601.
