Dorothy E. Livelsberger, age 92, formerly of Alliance, died at 4:22 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Lexington Court Care Center, in Lexington, Ohio.
She was born February 14, 1920 in Alliance, Ohio to William and Ida (McQuistion) Grate.
Dorothy worked at Taylorcraft for a short time during WWII, held a real estate license, and later was employed by the former Fairmount Children's Home, Buckeye Village Market, and the Alliance Country Club.
She was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church, formerly active with R.S.V.P., and the Alliance Senior Citizens Center, where she was a past president.
Dorothy's hobbies included ceramics, crafts, sewing, cake decorating, traveling, and camping.
Survivors include two sons, Roger (Debra) Livelsberger of Ontario, Ohio, and Dean (Alisa) Livelsberger of Nevada, Ohio, and her adopted daughter, Theresa Livelsberger of Alliance, Ohio; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kenneth V. Livelsberger Jr., two sisters, nine brothers, one daughter, Karen, one granddaughter, Heidi, and her husband, Kenneth V. Livelsberger Sr., whom she married March 31, 1939, and who died November 12, 2006.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Foundation, 4815 Munson St. NW Canton, Ohio 44718; the family is handling floral arrangements through Dehoff's Florist.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio.
