Dorothy J. Marshall, age 89 of Alliance, died at 6:23 p.m. November 18, 2004 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born October 6, 1915 in Saginaw, Michigan to Earl and Polly A. (Walters) Robison, and lived in Alliance since 1941.
Mrs. Marshall graduated in 1934 from Deerfield High School. She sold cameras for the Sam Solomon Company in Charleston, South Carolina and later for the W.T. Grant Company in Alliance.
She was a member of Beechwood Christian Church.
Dorothy was a featured singer on WFAH radio and sang at many local churches. She sang at many local churches and studied voice under Eileen Kendall. She was also a member of the Music Study Club.
Survivors include two grandsons, Jack (Jean) Kline of Lisbon, Ohio and Ralph (Carol) Kline of Alliance, and five great grandchildren, Sarah, Jeremy, Christopher, Matthew and Blair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack T. Marshall, whom she married July 9, 1935, and who died Nov. 19, 1963, and her daughter, Polly J. Kline, on Oct. 9, 1999.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Russell of Pine Lake Christian Church officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
