Dorothy Price

Dorothy L. Price, age 71, of Alliance died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born July 29, 1937 in Alliance to Oscar Johnson and Mary (Davidson) Johnson Bickley and was a graduate of Alliance High School. Dorothy was a member of the Salvation Army Church and she enjoyed cooking, flowers, and gardening. She was formerly employed by the Alliance Senior Center as a cook and at other restaurants in the Alliance area. Survivors include her five daughters, Debra West, Karen (Vito) Monaco, Angela (Spencer) Harding, Cimberly Smith and Tracey L. Castello; three sons, Harold (Carol) Anderson Sr, Jeffrey Smith and Troy (Michelle) Smith; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; five brothers, Mike, Oscar, Guy, Melvin and Rob Lee; four sisters, Esther, Kay, Lila Lynn, and Elaine and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Price whom she married August 17, 1984 and who died August 25, 1999, and who died; five brothers and a sister. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Billiter officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
