Dorothy C. Sweitzer, age 93, of Alliance, formerly of Hartville, died at 12:40 a.m. May 20, 2007 at McCrea Manor.
She was born Dec. 24, 1913 in Deerfield to George and Lydia (Wilson) Williams.
Mrs. Sweitzer graduated from Deerfield High School and then worked in the Marlington District Schools Cafeteria's for 13 years. After retiring she owned a riding school now known as Pegasus.
Survivors include her sons Jay (Joann) Sweitzer of Alliance and Larry (Marcia) Sweitzer of North Canton; son-in-law Dick Weisel of North Canton; grandchildren, Bryan (Kim) Sweitzer and Brenda Sweitzer, Lisa (John) Zona, Joe (Christine) Sweitzer, Tracy (Lynn) Weisel, Guy (Sandy) Weisel and Kim (Eric) Brotherton; step-grandchildren, Jodi (Joe) Immler and Jaime (Jennifer) Sweitzer; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl G. Sweitzer who died in July of 1974, daughter Janet Weisel who died in August of 2002, three brothers and one sister.
A private family memorial service will be held. There will be no calling hours.
Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
