Dorothy M. (Nofeier) Hein

Dorothy M. Hein, passed away at the age of 104, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Altercare of Alliance.

She was born April 17, 1915, in Sebring, Ohio, to Lottie and Andrew G. Nofcier.

She lived in Mentor, Ohio, before returning to Alliance in 2010.  She worked as a secretary for United Co-op in Alliance, a certified professional secretary for manufacturing companies in Cleveland and for a probate judge in Painesville.

Dorothy was a member of the Beechwood Christian Church.

Survivors include her son, Louis (Joanne) Rubsam; grandsons, David and Steve Rubsam and their families; step-son, Gary (Jane) Hein, Jr. and family of Decatur, Illinois; stepdaughter, Margie Higgason of Springfield, Illinois; two step-nieces of Alliance; and a close friend and faithful visitor of Alliance.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary L. Hein in June of l987; and her sister, Mildred and nephew, Jack.

Per her request, there will be no calling hours.  A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Fairmount Memorial Park.
