Dr. Angelo C. Pederzolli, age 88, of Alliance, died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at his home.
He was born November 19, 1920, in Alliance to Bert and Mary (Ridiccio) Pederzolli.
Dr. Pederzolli was a graduate of Ohio State University and Illinois College of Optometry and was an optometrist for 32 years before his retirement in 1984.
He was a member of the Regina Coeli Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Alliance Elks No. 467, and the American Optometric Association.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran who served during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey V. (Gulling) Pederzolli, of Alliance, whom he married July 24, 1948; his daughter, Karen (Thomas) Dietrich, two sons, Andrew (Anita) Pederzolli and Joseph (Michele) Pederzolli, all of Alliance; grandchildren, Thomas (Katherine) Dietrich, Kathleen (Kenneth) Meyer, Joseph (Courtney) Dietrich, Angelo (Holly) Pederzolli, Ann (Michael) Bogdan, Andrew (Kara) Pederzolli, Kristen Pederzolli, Lena Pederzolli, John Pederzolli, Nicholas Pederzolli; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bert (Marie) Pederzol.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Emma Barnhart; and two granddaughters, Marie and Renee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Seifert officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
